About Piedmont Avenue Elementary School
Piedmont Avenue Elementary School, situated in Oakland, California, caters to a diverse student body with classes ranging from Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade. We provide an education to all students and adhere to the standards set by the State across all key academic areas.
PAES fosters an enriching environment by offering a mix of extracurricular activities. These include programs in music, African dance, an array of sports and games, computer literacy, science with a hands-on approach, art, culturally enriching assemblies and educational field trips.
PAES emphasizes a college-going culture which affirms the power of each student in their potential for academic success at every level. This philosophy is a continuous thread that weaves through their educational journey into middle school, high school, and beyond. This approach stems from our firm belief that every student inherently has the ability to excel academically and make significant strides towards higher education and lifelong learning.
